Starting over…

I did a thing, my lovelies. I spent the better part of today completely rebuilding my website. If you recall, several months ago I encountered a problem with my site being offline. I initially built the site through Google, but when they ceased operations on their website support, I migrated the domain over to WordPress. However, the settings established by Google became somewhat incompatible with the WordPress settings. In a nutshell, I had to spend three days reworking a LOT of code to get my site visible once more. I am by no means a coder, so the fixes I achieved were purely by accident. Bang on a keyboard long enough, eventually you’ll get Shakespeare. Well, to my chagrin, this morning I encountered the exact same issue.

Rather than try my hand at coding again, I decided to just wave the proverbial white flag and set up my entire site through WordPress. They were already holding the domain for me, so I shelled out for a website plan and rebuilt my Cemetery. Yes, my site now looks totally different; but it is more simple and to the point. It is exactly what I needed. My website now serves as a landing point to direct everyone to my various endeavors across the world wide web. Gone are the various pages of seemingly redundant material, replaced by a simple list of sites on which to find my work. I chose a basic design, nothing too elaborate. I would love to know what you all think, so feel free to leave me a comment on this post.

That’s all I have for now. I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season, whatever you celebrate (or don’t).

This blogger sucks…

I do. It’s true. I have so many irons in the fire lately that this blog seems to be falling to the wayside. I apologize for that. I will try to post here more often. This is where I can let loose with my random thoughts. I need this space for my own sanity. Thanks for hanging in there, my lovelies.

Substacks and podcasts and photos, oh my!

Welcome back, my lovelies! I have been a busy little Libra! I decided to start a Substack. It’s kind of like a blog, but more like articles. It gives me a chance to flex my intellect and write about all the macabre things I can’t fit into the podcast. You can find it here, and I urge you to subscribe. You don’t want to miss anything, do you?

I am also keeping up with recording for the podcast. I just uploaded Episode 6 before writing this post. It drops Friday at midnight! You can tune in on Spotify, Apple, or YouTube! Don’t be shy! Come play with me!

I ventured over to my favorite spot, Hollywood Cemetery, this morning. Despite a lovely rain storm (I got soaked), I took some gorgeous photos. I submitted three edits to the Hollywood Cemetery Fall Photo contest. It took forever to narrow it down! They will announce the winner in late November. I will definitely keep you all posted! You can check out my photos on my Instagram, and I will post them soon in my personal gallery! I also sat in the rain (in my car, to protect my book) and read some poetry by the amazing Edgar Allan Poe. I adore that man’s mind. It was quite a lovely Sunday morning!

That’s pretty much all I have for you for now, my lovelies. Please keep tuning in to the podcast. Like, share, subscribe, and all that annoying jargon! It truly does help more than you know. Have a wonderful week!

Until next time…

Hell hath no fury like the Instagram algorithm…

I write this post with my head hung in abject shame. I, who made such a vehement exodus from all things Meta back in January, have now created an Instagram for my Twisted Libra content. I hate myself right now.

Try as I might, I could not find a decent way to gain exposure or to connect with others. Every creator I admired seemed to only be reachable via the ‘Gram. Also, they have some impressive edit features for creating Reels and such. Now, if you’re reading this and you know me personally, just know that if you follow me, I may not follow you back right away. Don’t take it as a slight, for I am beyond grateful for your support. I just want to give the damned algorithm a few days to figure out my preferred niche, and then I can start following non-creepy accounts. My previous foray into Instagram began as a personal account that I turned professional. I became overwhelmed with accounts I was following and it was next to impossible to keep up with everyone’s content. This time, I plan to keep things strictly business.
