Hello there, my lovelies! Welcome back to the cemetery! Your Twisted little Libra has been quite busy! I am currently writing my newest book, as some of you may already know. I am still determined to keep details on this one under wraps for a while, but I will say that it already has a title and I just finished writing a new short story before writing this blog. The new book will be a mix of new stories and rewrites of previously published ones. I am beyond excited to raise this latest creation from the tomb!
In the meantime, I am still in the process of creating a podcast. I hope to give you enjoyable yet spooky content to get you through your day (or night)! Things are still being figured out, but I will definitely have something delectable for you all soon!
Other than that, I am just working away on the book, the blog, and the social media. One step at a time, right? Now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s the full moon here tonight. The Blood Moon, to be exact. I’m going to go find a nice spot on a fresh grave and gaze up at the beauty of the night. Join me, if you dare.

I spent a few hours today editing content on my website and social media. HOURS. I honestly believe that this must be what it feels like to go completely insane.
As soon as I would finish tweaking one section, another would catch my eye and I would be at it again. I think, for now, I am all caught up. I hope you all like the changes I am making. Slowly but surely, things are coming together and the new and improved Twisted Libra Cemetery will be more than just a place for my stuff. It will be an experience!

I have begun to break down my old books in order to rewrite them and restructure them. I guess you could say I am building an outline of the new manuscript. Still in the early stages, but I am excited at how things are coming together in my mind! Not that this part is all fun and games; it has been equal parts fulfilling and infuriating. Really.
I have a narrative structure that I hope to achieve…but some of my older stories will need a few tweaks in order to fit into said narrative. I won’t say more than that, because I honestly want to keep details under wraps until the release date is closer. I doubt I will be posting excerpts like I did with previous books; maybe one or two, but not many. I have to have something to surprise y’all with, right?
Don’t worry, my lovelies. I will still try to post some creepy poems and such. I am just keeping the new book under wraps for quite a while. I hope you understand. Do stick around the cemetery for updates and general creeptastic entertainment. After all, it’s spooky season!

I started writing again this morning! I wrote a new short story that will be going into the upcoming book! Yes, it is creepy and no, you can’t read it. Not yet. Maybe soon I will post an excerpt, but for now I am keeping a lid on the new stuff. I need to dip my toe in before I take the plunge, you know?
I am excited to get back to writing and creating. The new book is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to publish it! However, I am not rushing this one. It will be done to perfection and I don’t care how long it takes. No deadlines. (Haha…dead…) I intend to pace my progress at a healthy rate. Writing, illustrating, editing, cover creation, and finally publishing will be done when it is done. In the meantime, I will try to sprinkle some ghoulish delights around the cemetery for you all to enjoy.

Ah, we meet again. Yes, your lovely Twisted Libra is back and better than ever! If you’re reading this blog post, you’re either a loyal follower (bless you!) or you’re horribly lost and just sort of ended up here. Either way, stick around the cemetery for a few minutes. I have some things to get off my little Libra chest…
The main thing is my books. Yes, I did take them out of print over on Amazon. For some reason, Amazon still shows a few copies of each book available, but trust me, they are not. Do not get scammed by some third party. The two original Twisted Libra books have been laid to rest. If you have copies, thank you. Consider them collectors items, or just use one of them to prop up that wobbly table in the living room. Both books are being reworked and added in with new material to form my upcoming book of (you guessed it) scary short stories. This book will be bigger, better, and have more to offer. No, I do not know when it will be ready. Sometime in 2022 is my goal. Fingers crossed!
Also, I went through all the Twisted Libra social media and sort of revamped it. (Haha…vamp…) I have a new email address and Twitter handle. You can find all my contact info on the contact page of the official Twisted Libra website. I will post the link at the end of this blog for those of you who may not know the way. From here on out, I plan to be posting on this blog more frequently, as well as my social media accounts. Big things are coming alive in the old cemetery, my lovelies! I am so excited for you to see what claws its way out of the grave next!

Long story short (since I write short stories), I am putting all my creations temporarily on hold. Libra husband (actually a Cancer, but I digress…) and I have been affected by Covid-19 as well as pneumonia. Yes, both of us. He is currently in ICU. I am at home but still on the mend as well. Until we get through this, your Twisted Libra will not be online. Feel free to enjoy my previous works, although the books have been pulled from Amazon at this time. (I am planning to re-release a new work in the coming months on a better platform.) Until we meet again…
Have you ever looked back at something and thought, “Damn. I could have done so much better”? I think we all have. Be it relationships or professional endeavors, we all can agree that hindsight is 20/20, right? If y’all have spent even a few minutes in the Twisted Libra Cemetery, you know that my books are my passion. Hell, my writing in general is my passion. So, you can imagine how amazing the next book is going to be when I tell you that I am taking the first two out of print…
Wait….WHAT?!!!! Yes, you read that correctly. I Scare My Own Family and Craving the Darkness are being permanently sealed away in a darkened tomb. Don’t misunderstand; I am immensely proud of both these books, and the second one has the most incredible illustrations (thanks Shellie!). It is just that I have a completely different vision for the stories I want to tell and the book I want to write. My next book will take both the other books and combine them in a unique way. Most of the stories will undergo a rewrite of sorts, so when you read the new book, you won’t be just rereading old material. I promise.
The forthcoming book will have new stories, new characters, and will actually be interactive with the reader. If the fates allow, my talented illustrator will be returning to help me bring this monster to life. I can’t really give away more than that for now. I am aiming for a 2021 release, but if it takes longer then so be it. This is going to be such an incredible story, and I do not want to rush things. It definitely won’t be ready by spooky season, but that’s okay. Trust me, it is going to be worth the wait!
So, what does that mean for the books that are out now? Well, like I said, I am pulling them out of publication. For personal reasons, I will be breaking away from Amazon publishing. Any copies of these first two books can be considered collector items, I suppose. If you haven’t gotten a copy of either of them, you should probably run and do so now. I am taking them away at the end of this weekend. I want to thank every single person who supported me through the creation and publication of the first two books. That encouragement and love meant so much more than you will ever know. Your appreciation for my work has given me the courage to undertake this new direction in my writing. I hope I can make you all proud with this next project! I want to say more about what is to come, but for now I think it is best to simply say thank you, I love you all, and I am ready to close the current chapter on my life as an author.

I have been sitting in front of this computer for quite a while, trying to come up with something interesting to say. I got nothing, y’all. Hence the Seinfeld-esque title of this post. I think my brain may actually be broken this time. The well has run dry. I am out of ideas. Perhaps the spooky has left the building? Has my creepy side up and quit on me?
No, no. That can’t be it. I believe I may truly be suffering from a horrible bout of writer’s block. The dreaded affliction that stalls creativity and drives a writer to the brink. I haven’t written anything substantial in a few months. MONTHS. I hate this. I miss my mind spilling over with ideas, some coming at me so fast I have to make multitudes of little notes in my phone and on post-its just to keep them all from slipping away.
My logic tells me this is common and will pass; my emotions tell me all hope is lost and I will never write again. Then that lovely self-esteem whispers: “No one reads your shit anyway.” Ah, the intriguing sounds of the constant war within my own mind. It never gets old.
(It definitely got old years ago.)
I want this to pass. I want to sit here and pour my words into the keyboard with reckless abandon. I want the stories to flow free. I want to feel that spooky little spark of joy when I read them back to myself after completion. I want the excitement of presenting new material to the world. I suppose until then, I will just write about nothing at all. Curse you, writer’s block.
